Fall is upon us here in the Twin Cities and that means it is time for the MN Parade of Homes Tour! If you have never visited the Parade of Homes this is a good year to check it out. The MN Parade of Homes showcases homes all over the Twin Cities Metro and features homes in every price range and style.
Here are a few of the highlights:
1. New Homes, Green Homes, Remodeled Homes, Dream Homes
The MN Parade of Homes has broken down the homes they are featuring into 4 categories: New Homes, Green Homes, Remodeled Homes and Dream Homes. New homes are homes that are built from the ground up by builders. Green homes are homes that are brand new or remodeled that are built with products that are “green.” These homes are generally energy efficient and built to save their owners money over the long haul. The remodeled homes feature rooms that were unfinished or in need of an update and were finished by local contractors. This year there are 3 Dream Homes on the MN Parade of Homes Tour and it costs $5 to view each home. The donations for the Dream Homes go to build, repair and remodel homes for families in need in the Twin Cities.
2. The Details
With the exception of the Dream Homes, it is free to tour the homes in the MN Parade of Homes. The MN Parade of Homes runs from September 8th-September 30th. Homes are open Thursday-Sunday from 12:00pm-6:00pm. Guidebooks are available at local Holiday Gas Stations.
